I have been notified of the recent death of Kay Scheirer, age 92, in Manchester, NH. Some of you will remember her, and her husband, Walter Scheirer, who passed away during the 1970 camp season.

During her many years at camp Kay was a regular at "coffee on the veranda" following Sunday lunch, and contributed frequently to the musical portion of Sunday services and other special occasions.

Her cremains will be interred at the Lake View Cemetery, Wolfeboro, in a plot with her husband and her parents.

Thanks Dave.

I remember Kay well. I was wondering just today how old Walt was when he died. Do you know?

I'll never forget that summer.

Mike

I remember the summer that Walt Scheirer passed away. I was a midget in Cabintown and he had a heart attack and was taken to Huggins Hospital where he passed away. I remember Bruce Hamilton's tearful Eulogy in the Chapel on Sunday. I was just 10 at the time. He was one of the first people I knew that passed away and that affected me. He was a wonderful man. I do remember Kay as well.

I was also in Cabintown at that time, and remember the funeral. I don't remember where it was held, although I remember it as a large brick church, probably in Wolfeboro.
