A while ago I was sorting some old Wyanoke papers and I came across a submission by my Dad to the Wyanoke Christmas Log of 1967. Even though this note is 47 years old, and names and places have changed around the World, the essence of this note is still the same.
"These are trying times for many in our country and around the world, and yet the Christmas Season will be a happy one. I believe it should be. If we could all carry with us year-round the true spirit of Christmas, our world would be a better place. With this thought and challenge Mrs. Bentley and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
I would not presume to step into my Dad's shoes, but, I will add that Mrs. Bentley and I wish you same Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. _________________ C-1 49 J-7 52 S-3 55 J-10 58
