It took nearly a month of frustration, frantic searches for old passwords, money and the expertise of Hostgator to put things back together, but it's done!

I'm posting this note yo be sure that the forum is working, not only for reading, but for uploading as well.

A couple of pages got lost in the shuffle, but they're easily rebuilt and not particularly important. What IS important are the Council Room and Personal Photo Galleries, and from what I can tell, both are finally restored to full functionality, again thanks to Hostgator.

This is a VERY old site, from the technology standpoint, so things don't work as they should in places.

You can't imagine my relief at having it back. I have 14 years of photos, transcriptions of materials I received from you all and about $3500 invested in it, and to lose it because the hosting service refused to accept payment or communicate with me (then locked me out for non-payment) was unbelievably frustrating.

I have every reason to think your passwords etc. are still operating properly (mine did), and the couple missing pages can be corrected at leisure.

I'll turn this into a plug for Hostgator for all your web hosting needs. From the start, their telephone support was 1) easy to reach and 2) extremely friendly, cooperative and above all else, very competent. Though a bit slow, their handling of my site migration ticket was equally excellent.
