Would this summer or last summer have been Wyanoke's Centenial season? _________________ J-1 1970, Marc Liddle from Scotland

Sometimes you'll see business operations celebrate their, say, 10th anniversary 9 years after their founding, in their 10th year (or both years 9 and 10, to milk it! I think Disney World did it this way recently, marking an anniversary over a two-year period).
Wyanoke celebrated its 60th Anniversary in its 60th birthday year and its 61st season: 1969. If Wyanoke had done it consistently-- and Wikipedia also suggests the 100th birthday marks the centennial-- 2009 would have been the centennial season.
Wow... imagine what the camp must have been like back in its inaugural season of 1909. Happy birthday, Wyanoke.
This would also have been the year BMB would have celebrated his 100th birthday, if I remember correctly.
The USA bicentennial was also officially celebrated on the nation's 200th birthday, July 4, 1976. _________________ Camper: J-8 1965 (Kevin Ryan), J-8 1966 (Mike Freeland), S-6 1967 (Russ Hatch), S-3 1968 (Jeremy Cripps), and JA-2 1969 (Dan Mannis).

Camp celebrated it's first summer in 1909, and would have celebrated it's one-hundredth summer in 2008; although, the beginning of summer 2009 would complete 100 years of being in business.
Dad was born December 8, 1913, so this December would be his 96th birthday. _________________ C-1 49 J-7 52 S-3 55 J-10 58
